Crime Prevention – Notice from John Gorham our PCSO

Just a very quick contact, there has been an incident in Kent where a farm forklift was stolen and used in an attempt to remove a cash machine from a wall. The attempt was not successful, but caused damage to the wall and the machine.

This incident highlighted the concern about keys being left in unattended farming machinery.  Please ensure that the keys for any machinery stored out in the open are secured away from the equipment and locked away. This should help prevent further incidents like this recent one. Of course, it goes without saying that this should be adopted for your private vehicles as well.

Many Thanks

John Gorham (Romney Marsh PCSO)
